About
GreenFeed4Fish is a scientific project funded by Innovation and Digital Transition Programme (64 800.00 €) and Lisbon Regional Programme (183 643.20 €) in the ERDF component, and by the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. through national funds (PIDDAC) (Operation n.º 16870, Funds operation code LISBOA2030-FEDER-00815200; https://doi.org/10.54499/2023.16185.ICDT).
The main objective of the GreenFeed4Fish project is to reuse agricultural wastes rich in micronutrients and bioactive compounds to be incorporated into aquafeeds to improve immuno-metabolic responses and nutritional value of farmed gilthead seabream under Zero Waste and Circular Economy frameworks. For such, it gathers a multidisciplinary team composed by three Research Institutions, namely NOVA.ID.FCT - Associação para a Inovação e Desenvolvimento; Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry (LAQV), part of Network of Chemistry and Technology (REQUIMTE) from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), and Division of Aquaculture, Valorisation and Bioprospecting from Portuguese Institution for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA, I.P.). The project execution period ranges from 10 July 2025 to 8 July 2028
