Marta Dias

Marta Dias (PhD in Marine Biology and Aquaculture) is the Principal Investigator of the GreenFeed4Fish project and a post-doctoral researcher at CIIMAR. Her research interests include temperate and tropical marine ecology, global climate change effects, physiological stress and sustainable aquaculture.

Carolina Madeira

Carolina Madeira (PhD in Marine Biology and Aquaculture) is a Professor of Marine Molecular Biology at NOVA-FCT. She is an expert in marine omics, histology, biomarkers, experimental biology and physiology.

Ana Luísa Maulvault

Ana Luísa Maulvault (PhD in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability Studies) is an Assistant Researcher at IPMA, Head of LABVIVOS and Member of the ORBEA. She is certified to Coordinate Projects involving animal experimentation (DGAV, FELASA C), Severity Assessment (ETPLAS) and Biosecurity (IGS). She is an expert in seafood safety, aquaculture, food chemistry, climate change and marine physiology.

Carla Pires

Carla Pires (PhD (eq) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics) is a researcher at DivAV/IPMA with expertise in valorization of fish by-products and seaweeds particularly on the production and characterization of protein hydrolysates and on the evaluation of functional and biological properties.

Cheila Almeida

Cheila Almeida (PhD in Marine Sciences) is a researcher at IPMA dedicated to seafood sustainability from a supply chain perspective. She developed several environmental assessment studies of fishery and aquaculture products based on Life Cycle Assessment.

Cristina Delerue-Matos

Cristina Delerue-Matos (PhD and Habilitation in Chemistry) is the Coordinator of the Environmental Chemistry group from REQUIMTE/LAQV and of Grupo de Reação e Análises Químicas. Her scientific expertise allowed dealing with the topic Green Chemistry – Clean Technologies and Processes with a wide range of tools and from different perspectives.

Maria João Ramalhosa

Maria João Ramalhosa (PhD in Analytical Chemistry) is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at ISEP and a permanent researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV. Her research interests include food safety, green extraction techniques, functional foods, bioactive compounds, and waste valorisation in the agricultural sector.

Valentina Domingues

Valentina Domingues has a PhD and  Habilitation in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Her research mainly focuses on the development of analytical methods to monitoring organic compounds in biological and food samples. She also works on waste valorisation of the agri-food sector, through the evaluation of bioactive compounds and antimicrobial activity.

Elsa Vieira

Elsa Vieira (PhD in Sustainable Chemistry) is a researcher at REQUIMTE/LAQV with expertise in extraction processes optimization and modelling, and assessment of in vitro bioactivities (anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties) of nutraceuticals.

Raquel Xavier

Raquel Xavier (PhD in Biology) is an Auxiliary Researcher in InBIO (Research Network in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology). Her main research interests are Microbiology; parasites; infectious diseases; Host-microbiome interactions; Evolution; Ecology.

Jorge Dias is a marine biologist graduated by the University of Algarve. He is the founder and current CEO of SPAROS. Jorge Dias is an expert in  fish nutrition and aquafeed development.

Alícia Pereira

Alícia Pereira is a PhD student which will ingress in the Sustainable Chemistry PhD course at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). Her background includes maintenance of fish, mussels and macroalgae in recirculation systems, bioactivity assessement, stress biomarkers quantification and Vibrio harveyi cultures.
